New HD Textures for Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Features
* Sharper and improved textures for all maps and objects which Jedi Knight 2 contains (Bespin, Cairn, Doomgiver, Nar Shaddaa, Yavin [...])
* Improved textures for all player models which Jedi Knight 2 contains
* [Coming] New 1024x1024 floor and wall textures for all maps
* New saber (originally made by "asylum")


The x1HD_Texturepatch.pk3 (248 Mb) contains the updated original files (Improvements like sharper, new contrast and brightness etc.)
The x2HD_Texturepatch.pk3 (Work in Progress) will contain fully new 1024x1024 and 2048x2048 textures. I'm working on it, but if you already like them, use this AddOn pk3. :mrgreen:

I love HD and this looks imba sweet! <3 Some textures got replaced huh. I'm not sure if I like the replaced streets of bespin with dust texture there. (https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=bdb2663e ... 5D2E1D!591) Too bad, I'd have to fix the Nere HD shader for it. Because it needs a darker and a brighter texture lulz.


Btw. I wonder about... are there 2 different saber shapes in this pic? Or is it just the tail faking it...

Thanks, the new zHD_Texturepatch.pk3 is experimental and I'll try to find an alternative solution for the bespin texture or edit this one with Photoshop again. Is it even a street? I thought it would be gravel/dust. :mrgreen: The grass textures in yavin might be too bright as well (with Nere's Shaders), what do you think? If you don't like the new textures currently, just delete the zHD_Texturepatch.pk3. I'm open for suggestions.

I think the grass texture in Yavin looks rly nice but who I am to judge this, I rly rly seldom play CTF xD

But again nerdcore, I love cool texture replaces for bespin tho however it's hard to find fitting ones that still look bespin like and give most quality. The ones you chose have bumpmapping and I love that =D However.. I'm still using the default ones (bumpmapped by Nere and his shader ofc) although - there were so many nice attempts to change the style:X I feel bad about not using them but ye: my favourite will always be bumpmapped textures which look rly 3D! This is possible, because I took the most textures from the internet, edited and converteted them with Photoshop to repeating patterns. Up to now, I just had to make myself transitions from grass to dirt in yavin.

That was the original idea. But I worked on it some hours a day and now nearly everything is updated. :mrgreen: But, yes, I'll pack a "bespin and player model only package".

I'm working on a whole 1st-person-shooter game project on C# and Unity, with other people of course. Mapping (idea) with GTKRadiant is far ahead from the wide horizon. But you can't expect from Nerevar to discover more beyond his substandard mapping stuff.

Hey there,

I just tried the texture patch and i really like it. Really nice work there!

But i don't like the new model of the lightsaber. Is there a possibilty to change it back to the original one without losing the better textures?

Either you do zzzzzzzzz's before your other saber.pk3 or you remove the saber folder in the hd-texture.pk3 (\models\weapons2\saber) :P
