I was thinking about this since a long time ago , I'm really curious and I would be thankfull if anyone could make a pk3 or something that can ,,stop'' the dropping fps action when your draining a lighter/darker .

In Gabby Wabby's server they changed the drain effect on players serverside but I'm not sure whether it's fps saving. Ye if Bueno posted that mod/shader he made there.. but I doubt anyone but Nere or so can find the effect for drain^^ Maybe it's only serverside changeable. Just lower down the graphics a bit, like r_primitive 0-4 (??? one of the values leads to a blackscreen lol. Flyer knows that, he pranks people with it^^)

r_prim 4 makes your screen black ... and i don't see how r_prim can help u . Well i used to play on low and medium geometric detail , but i switched to high once and i couldn't go back to low then , doesn't worth , makes the game look so ugly

r_prim doesn't control geometric detail anyway. That's r_lodscale

I have no idea what r_prim actually does
