Hey this is a question to nerevar, i saw alot of games that have these shader updates that make awsome effects like motion blur sun lighting and stuff like that,
Since nere made sun bespin which as i assume was made with shaders and just few retextures. Would it be possible to make a ingame advanced colors and motion blur as you can see in videos like these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqZ4wlO8l9Q i know that in this movie its all about rendering, but im pretty sure its possible to make in game with some shaders tho it might get laggy but it would be cool for ppl who have got beast pc's.

So my question is it possible to make for jk2 with your source code cause i've heard that a lot of ppl need realitys source code to make this and imo thats bs. idk

Anything is possible, Nere made already a bloom effect with cg_sun command. I could imagine that you can convert Quake 3 motion blur/bloom mods :P

But to me these effects actually suck for playing. I wanna have a clean and clear display. Graphic enhancements like shadows, reflection etc. are cool tho =)

that effect on the vid you posted is from virtualdub, he used the Cl_avidemo method to render jk2 to frames then virtualdub'd it frame by ,frame looks awesome

I've read you can set a bloom effect for any OpenGL game like JK2 or Quake, Cod 1 (http://forums.ngemu.com/showthread.php?t=58726) with an ATI Card and its feature "smartshader" (I got an ati, umad?)

I cant find any instructional English link, so here its German:

ure correct saying "anything is possible", but cg_sun command, is a shader (i think gfx/effects/saberflare) showing only if ure looking to the sky with no obstacles, is not an effect or display/screen effect.

but is possible to make display effect, im working on motion blur display effect (cg_motionblur)
