I have this on the r2o forums as well, put gonna put it here too:

Guys, on the topic of 1.02 and 1.04 - ent sent me a message today. ent is the one who fixed us joMME, for the record.

This is what he says:

Maybe I am missing some point that would make my POV impossible. If so, then, please, tell.



I don't have contact with our coders, but I'm sure some of you do. Could you please forward it to them and get a real discussion on this? Also since ent knows a lot about these things, he might be able to assist if we should need it, although he hasn't said anything about that yet. Should put this in a new topic maybe, if it seems doable.

You know that's maybe the single best idea to revive this game and it's not a young idea.

Tri was developing a mod which contains exactly that where you can play all patches on one server. People can play in their own "patch dimension" if they want. He dropped that idea though because he added JKA dimension now as well. But this works only on JK3 so he converted JK2 to it. So his goal is that you can play all patches and all JK versions on one server. Sounds ridicilous right? But ye he's actually working on it. However that's a huge project and will take time. He's already working on these ideas since 7 years now :s






PS: Nice discussion at r2o there but I wonder why they are not having a look at the steam website of jk2, it offers so many things they are talking about like streaming/broadcasting as far as I can see

via cvar: g_gameplay <version>
or via command: /gameplay <version>

So. im not interested on that development nowadays, because i dont have a team, or servers to hosts my mods, or people to play it...

Dude, you never released any public version, I asked so many times for it x) I always wanted to try out the grapple hook gameplay D: And where is the "all patches on one server" public version? :/

thats true, i never released a public version, but i was really busy when u asked me, nowadays ure busy, and im looking for testers or something... (i was, im tired of that now) LOL

the "all patches on one server" is in my pc :roll:
